FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have questions about brushes? We can answer them!

Brush Cleaning

  • When should I clean my brushes?

That depends very much on the number of washes, type of machine, etc.

We recommend an average of once a week and a daily check of the brushes. By regularly maintaining and cleaning your brushes you keep the best washing and drying results in your car wash.

There are a million things that affect how often you should clean or wash a brush. Therefore, one car wash may need to clean it once a month and an other one every day. Also, every material is different. On the website you can download an information sheet for each material in which the maintenance is stated.

    Information sheets:

We also advise to order a spare set. This way you can exchange the dirty segments with clean ones, while you clean the dirty segments you can continue washing!

  • How do I clean my brush?

How you should clean your car wash brush differs per brush and material.

We try to make cleaning brushes as easy as possible for you. Because our materials are often attached to the brush with Velcro, it is easy to detach and clean them without having to detach the entire shaft.

The material information sheets (which you download on the website page of that material) tell you how to clean the material.

    Information sheets:

There are two main ways of cleaning. Many materials can now be washed in the washing machine. If this is not possible, you can clean the material with a high-pressure cleaner and brush cleaner.

Pay attention! With some materials it is not recommended to use a high-pressure cleaner because this damages the cells in the material.

  • Can the brush material go in the washing machine?

If the material can be washed in the washing machine, this is indicated on the information sheets. These can be downloaded from the material web page.

Our materials that are suitable for the washing machine:

  • How do I clean the underside of the brushes?

The bottom of the brush is often the part that gets dirty the fastest. This is because the lower parts of a car are also often the dirtiest. That is why it is also important that you have a high washing power for these parts.

Nowadays we often make the lower parts from black material. This makes it appear to the customer that the brushes are clean and you don't have to clean them optically as often for a fresh look.

For the first brushes in the car wash, we often recommend CCT-Foam for the lower parts.

You can easily clean CCT-Foam and laundry textiles using a high-pressure cleaner and a brush cleaner. Do not apply too much pressure and keep the jet at a sufficient distance from the material.

Wheel brushes are often made of PX, which require little to no maintenance.
